WOLIS is a community of believers raising children who love God, serve others and change the world — one heart and one mind at a time.
Word of Life International School was founded by a small group of parents and educators who believed Kampala needed a school where rigorous academics and a living faith could grow side by side.
What started as a handful of classrooms has grown into a thriving community of over 500 students from more than 10 nations — but the heart behind it hasn't changed: every child is known, loved and equipped to live a life of purpose.
Today, WOLIS continues to grow term by term, guided by the same conviction that shaped our first classroom — that hearts grown in grace go on to change the world.
To foster an environment that is markedly Christian by modelling godliness through qualified and spiritual staff, educating each learner with a biblically driven, holistic curriculum that prepares them for a life of maximum effectiveness for the Lord.
To be a leading Christian school in the region, sending out graduates who carry biblical character, academic excellence and a global perspective into every nation, workplace and home they enter.
That each student would be equipped to pursue God's plan for his/her life while being the salt and light in a decaying and lost world.
"That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give them the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that they may know Him better… and that the eyes of their hearts may be enlightened." — Eph. 1:17–18
We show Christ's love in all we do, to every student, family and colleague.
We serve others with humility and joy, putting others' needs alongside our own.
We value every person as created in God's image, with dignity and worth.
The best way to understand who we are is to walk our halls and meet our community.
